• On April 20, 2016, Dr. Arlotto presented the Board with three potential options to shift school start and dismissal times using money already allocated to the school system or requested for such an initiative. Two of the options would spend slightly more than the $602,000 already allocated by the County Council, while the third would spend approximately $1.4 million. All three options would leave at least six schools dismissing after 4:00 p.m. The potential options were presented to the Board for its information only, and the Board took no vote on the options.

    Option II

    Option III

Option III: High schools begin at 7:30 AM with elementary adjustments. This options moves high school start times 13 minutes later to 7:30 AM and, with the exception of Hebron-Harman Elementary School and Meade Heights Elementary School, moves all elementary, middle, and special/alternative school start times 15 minutes later.
