Child Development Associate - CDA - Credential Funding Opportunity
-
Fully funded CDA training is available for Maryland Early Childhood Educators!
Maryland Family Network, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), and the Council for Professional Recognition are partnering to provide thousands of Maryland's early childhood educators, including high school students enrolled in approved CTE programs, with financial support to help them earn the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. These financial awards will cover a resource book bundle, new and renewal application fees, and training registration fees required for the program.
CTE high school students, teachers, or coordinators and public PreK teachers, assistant teachers, and coordinators can request additional information, including the application materials, by contacting us at MCCRNinfo@marylandfamilynetwork.org.
By earning their CDA, Maryland's child care professionals will expand their career options and have greater knowledge with which to serve young children across our state.
Your local Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) is available to assist you with completing the required training for the CDA, compiling the CDA portfolio, and assisting with the application process to obtain this nationally recognized credential. To find your local CCRC, visit the Maryland Child Care Resource Network. If you need further assistance, please contact us at MCCRNinfo@marylandfamilynetwork.org. You can also review the FAQs from the Council for Professional Recognition.
Before completing your application for funding, please watch the recorded webinar below to familiarize yourself with the process.
