Students engage in learning about the history of the United States from the Gilded Age to the present day. (Required Course)

Students explore the United States Government system with a focus on all branches and the specific structure/function of the state government of Maryland. (Required Course)

American Government MCAP
American Government is an end-of-course exam.
About the Test
The MCAP American Government assessment is an end of course test.
The American Government test consists of Selected Response (SR), Constructed Response (CR), and Technology Enhanced (TE) items. The CR items require students to write rather than select an appropriate response.
The assessment meets the testing requirements for Maryland high school graduation as well as the high school testing requirements for state law.

World History
Students study the history of the World from the era of the trading empires to present day. (Required Course)
