Principal’s Message - May 2024

Gator Families—I hope this newsletter finds your family well and enjoying the spring season. While we are fast approaching the end of the school year, there are so many activities planned between now and June 11th. Please be sure to check out the calendar and plan ahead.

Teacher Appreciation Week is next week, and we certainly have a lot to celebrate. This school has been so fortunate to have such a caring, hardworking group of educators. As it always does, our PTO has planned out a week of showing love and adoration for the work of our teachers and staff. The elaborate nature of their efforts is impressive and always means so much. I hope you will find ways next week to show appreciation for those who directly impact your child on a daily basis.

We’ve had a very positive school year with our students as we focused on rewarding positive choices. As we move into this last stretch of the school year, we always anticipate an increase in student excitement and behaviors. Our teachers will work to motivate students through class rewards and individual Gator Tickets. There are many exciting events planned in the next month, including an end of year PBIS celebration. We are hopeful our Gators will stay on track and help us make this a great end to the school year.  

The end of the school year brings a great deal of celebration to our Gators, both current and former. Not only will we welcome new kindergarteners at an orientation on May 23rd, but on May 28th, we will celebrate graduating seniors as these former Gators walk our halls. Most important for us, our 5th grade promotion ceremony will be held June 10th. We will say farewell to them through our annual clap out as they walk our halls for the last time. During these milestones, it’s always a good time to reflect on our experiences and look ahead to the future. We continue to be so proud of our students and honored to be a part of their personal history.
