Service as Action

Action and service have always been shared values of the IB community.

Students take action when they apply what they are learning in the classroom and beyond. IB learners strive to be caring members of the community who demonstrate a commitment to service—making a positive difference to the lives of others and to the environment.

In MYP Design, students participate in learning experiences that are service oriented.

The photos below depict Ms. Clark's Design Project Runway students who purchased used garments at a local Good Will that they then upcycled to design and create their unique fashions. Through this project, students demonstrated themselves as caring, principled, and thoughtful IB learners as they used their creativity and commitment to make a positive impact on their local and global community.
