  • FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS
    The Folger McKinsey PTO starts by asking for your support in joining the PTO. You can choose the level of membership you feel comfortable with. Family memberships start at $25. We will never ask you to sell wrapping paper, candles or chocolate! The PTO membership income is the main source of the PTO’s annual operating budget: providing programs for students, teacher grants, assemblies, filed trips, events and more.

    • The Folger Glow Run is a program that helps the PTO improve our school facilities as well as provide bigger items to the school such as water bottle refilling stations, outdoor classroom enhancements, technology and many other upgrades.  

     

    HOW CAN I HELP FOLGER EARN “FREE MONEY?”

    Register your Harris Teeter VIC Card for the Together in Education program at

    Send in your used Toner Cartridges, cell phones and small electronics. We’ll recycle them for you! Go to www.fundingfactory.com for a complete list. The box to recycle them is by the SACC room by the main office. 

    Shop at Office Depot! Present your school's 5% Back-to-School ID number when you shop online, over the phone or at Office Depot stores. Does not affect your Worklife Rewards!

    BoxTops are worth cash for Folger McKinsey! Collect BoxTops from over 300 participating products and send to school monthly with your child. BoxTops are going DIGITAL! You can still send BoxTops in with your child in an envelope or baggie, marked with your child’s name and teacher’s name, but be sure to download the BoxTops App and snap photos of your grocery store receipts to maximize Folger’s earnings! 

    The Folger Green Club (formerly OC2) is spearheading our Aluminum Recycling Program. Save your aluminum cans and bring them on can collection days.  A ParentSquare post will be sent to notify the school of the dates. The local recycling center pays for the cans! 

    We also are encouraging Folger’s to recycle more than just aluminum cans: 

    ·         Aluminum soda cans;

    ·         Aluminum beer cans;

    ·         Aluminum tea cans;

    ·         Aluminum cat food cans;

    ·         Aluminum foil;

    ·         Old Aluminum roof gutters and downspouts;

    ·         Old Aluminum storm doors; and

    ·         Old Aluminum patio furniture etc. 

    If you have large items to donate, we have a volunteer that will pick them up free of charge. Contact the PTO if you have a pickup! 

    Look for announcements for special restaurant nights at Ledo Pizza, Chick-fil-A, Fro Yo, Chipotle, MOD Pizza, Rita's Italian Ice, Firehouse Subs, etc.
