  • NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETIES FOR DANCE ARTS

Honor societies are established through the National Dance Education Organization for the purpose of promoting and honoring artistic achievement in dance students 11-18 years of age, encouraging well-rounded young dance artists to be leaders in their communities, and to identify honor students for nomination to the NDEO's Artistic Merit, Leadership, and Academic Achievement Award (one of the highest honors' programs in the United States). Students earn points for induction and accrue points over years of study.  Seniors graduate with honors and wear honor cords and gold honor pins in high school graduation ceremonies.
