About Our School

  • Welcome to Meade Heights Elementary School!  One of our goals at Meade Heights is to support the social and emotional development of our youngest learners.  We strive to help instill knowledge and skills within all students to help them feel and show empathy for others, establish positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.  While perusing our school website, it is our hope that you gain a better understanding of our mission to help all of our students excel and soar to higher heights!

    Kids at Hope

Kids at Hope is an innovative concept which states and demonstrates that all children are capable of success, NO EXCEPTIONS! Kids at Hope is not another program; it is first and foremost a belief system, supported by a cultural strategy and then enhanced by programs. Kids at Hope’s vision is that every child is afforded the belief, guidance and encouragement that creates a sense of hope and optimism, supported by a course of action needed to experience success at life’s four major destinations: Home & Family; Education & Career; Community & Service; and Hobbies & Recreation. Kids at Hope inspires, empowers and transforms schools, organizations serving youth and entire communities to create an environment and culture where all children experience success. NO EXCEPTIONS!

    Restorative Practices

Restorative Practices increase student connections, build community, and address behavioral infractions.  Utlizing restorative practices helps to build and strengthen the school climate and to address harm in ways that hold students accountable and create an honorable pathway back to the community.  Some restorative practices include: Community-Building Circles to create regular connecting opportunities for students and staff; Five Restorative Questions help students reflect on, and learn from, their actions; Responsive Circles help students and staff address harm and work together to repair the harm and create an honorable pathway back to the community.
