THE WORK OF OUR STRATEGIC PLAN 2018-2023
Marley Elementary School
-
When each school began to plan their important work based on AACPS’s 2018-2023 Strategic Plan during the spring of 2018, school teams reflected on their school culture, their community, and the key factors contributing to student achievement. Each school was then asked to consider which Strategic Plan Indicators would have the greatest positive impact for their students. School leadership teams selected indicators and developed plans to focus and guide their efforts. Please come with us on our journey as we describe why, what, and how we do our work to serve our students and families of our school.
Marley Elementary's School Story
-
Marley Elementary has been an established part of the Glen Burnie community, serving generations of students since opening our doors in 1953. Each day we greet approximately 850 students who are excited to learn in a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment. We are proud of our uniquely diverse community which embraces the individuality of each and every student. Marley current serves students and families in the Old Glen Burnie community of Sun Valley, a variety of apartment complexes located along Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and Governor Ritchie Highway, and newly established communities including Creekside Village and Tanyard Springs.
The Marley Elementary Community truly believes that learning is magical. Each day every staff member is committed to making learning a magical experience for each student. We understand the importance of nurturing staff, students and community members to reach their fullest potential. As a school community, we work to deliver instruction at the highest, most engaging level to address the needs of all learners. As you walk our hallways, you will hear students participating in collaborative problem solving, working on project-based assignments, and asking and answering questions. Students are excited to explore, research, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. You will also witness staff engaging with students and establishing relationships that foster trust and understanding. We work collaboratively to establish a positive culture that supports the strengths of the whole child.
Without a doubt, we are forever and always MARLEY MUSTANG PROUD!
