THE WORK OF OUR STRATEGIC PLAN 2018-2023

Arundel High School

  • When each school began to plan their important work based on AACPS’s 2018-2023 Strategic Plan during the spring of 2018, school teams reflected on their school culture, their community, and the key factors contributing to student achievement.  Each school was then asked to consider which Strategic Plan Indicators would have the greatest positive impact for their students. School leadership teams selected indicators and developed plans to focus and guide their efforts.  Please come with us on our journey as we describe why, what, and how we do our work to serve our students and families of our school.

Arundel High's School Story

  • Three words welcome visitors to our school: Passion, Purpose, and Pride. Our primary goal is to help all students find the activities and learning that inspire them and fuel a passion that turns their interests into college, career, and service opportunities that they can be proud of for a lifetime.

Arundel High School is a diverse, comprehensive high school with a tradition that once served an agricultural community dating back to 1950. It is now nestled within the technology triangle between Baltimore, Annapolis and Washington, D.C.  Arundel’s pride is seen in academics, athletics, and extra-curricular activities that inspire over 2,200 students each year. Our students come from various backgrounds, some from other countries, while many other students attend the Alma Mater of their parents and grandparents.  Arundel is always changing and yet full of deep community traditions with a reputation of having a school culture with positive relationships that really drives the work of the entire school community.
