-
AACPS is committed to developing a highly qualified workforce that reflects the diversity of our students and surrounding community. AACPS defines Diversity as a range of human differences including but not limited to dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies.
AACPS has a multi-faceted approach to diversity and inclusion within our system. The Office of Workforce Diversity collaborates with other AACPS departments that have been established to increase diversity within our school community and to ensure the equitable allocation of services for our students.
Why is Diversity Important in the Workplace?
Diversity in the workplace allows individuals from different backgrounds and with different perspectives to learn from each other. We believe hiring individuals with from various backgrounds and with different talents, skills, and perspectives will enhance creativity and innovation within our organization.
