Program Overview

  • Meade Virtual Connect (MVC) is a vibrant network of virtual opportunities for students and adults living and working in the Meade Cluster communities.  The MVC will allow us to increase the engagement of Meade Cluster students in the full life of their school and community, including academic courses and tutoring, social-emotional supports, clubs & workshops, career/workforce awareness opportunities, internships, and service-learning events and activities.

Student engagement is the first important step in a healthy and successful student’s school journey.

As more Meade Cluster students engage at higher levels, we will see students realizing personal, social emotional, and academic success, increasing their self-esteem, building career awareness, and nurturing positive soft skills and independence.  In addition, the MVC network will also support educators and parents/guardians with timely professional development and parenting workshops, respectively.

The Meade Virtual Connect network will operate 8am-8pm, 365 days per year for all participants.   The virtual offerings of MVC will be accessible to all Meade Cluster students, educators, and parents/guardians and will be supported by AACPS operating and grant funds. Click on the level of your student or yourself in the left-hand column of this website to see what is available to sign up for during Fall, Spring, or Summer semesters.

NOTE:  AACPS has been awarded a $1.35M DoDEA grant for Meade Virtual Connect Project that will be operational through the 2025-2026 School Year.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: When AACPS Closes all Day or Dismisses students/staff early, MVC clubs will NOT meet. If virtual instruction continues for students, MVC clubs will meet as scheduled.
