    Effective July 6, 2021, Purchasing Office staff will again be working from its Central Office location at 2644 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.  The Central Office Building is now open to the public, but access to the Purchasing Office remains restricted. Therefore, an appointment is necessary to hand deliver a bid.    Please call or email the Purchasing Office well in advance of the bid due date to make an appointment to hand deliver a bid. The main Purchasing Inbox address is

    ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSION IS STILL AVAILABLE TO BIDDERS AND IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.

    Bid openings will again be live, but attendance may be limited because of the size of the Bid Room.  Please refer to the individual Request for Bids for more information on bid submissions and attendance at prebid meetings and bid openings.

    Please remember to check "Current Bid Solicitations" for changes to bid due dates or prebid meetings.

    AACPS comprises 128 schools and more than 84,000 students. The operating budget for FY 2022 is $1.37 billion.  The Board of Education and the Superintendent have authorized the Supervisor of Purchasing to award contracts for services, construction, maintenance, commodities and equipment, leases, and architectural/engineering services.  The Board must approve most contracts exceeding $100,000. This flexibility allows us to quickly respond to the needs of our schools.  All qualified businesses are encouraged to bid on AACPS contracts.
