APPLICATION INFORMATION
2023-2024 School Year: For students in Grade 5 and Grade 8 in the fall of 2023, on-time applications closed at noon on November 13, 2023.Students may continue to apply as late IB applicants. Eligible late IB applicants will not go through the magnet lottery but will be added to a late wait list after all of the eligible on-time IB applicants.

Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL) Student Trustee Position
Apply Today! (HS Juniors and Seniors)
On February 16, 2023, the Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL) Board of Trustees voted unanimously to create a Student Trustee position. The goal of this initiative is to provide an opportunity for a young person to learn about board governance and gain valuable real-world experience serving on a governing body. Additionally, the library and its board of trustees will gain insight into students’ points of view on library resources, programs and materials. The Student Trustee will be able to provide valuable information that enables the system to better serve its young adult customers.
Requirements for the position:

Must be a rising junior or senior.

Must live in Anne Arundel County.

Must attend an Anne Arundel County Public School, private school or be homeschooled.

Must be available to serve a one-year term beginning in August 2024 and ending in June 2025.

Must be able to meet all the expectations of a Library Trustee (see below).
