MEADE AREA FAMILY OF SCHOOLS

AACPS is composed of 128 schools divided into areas or feeders by geography.  The Meade feeder of schools, centered around Fort George G. Meade, includes 1 early childhood school, 9 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 high school, a K-8 contract school, and 1 middle-high charter school.  Included within this group of 15 schools are 3 International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB-PYP) elementary schools, 1 IB Middle Years Program (IB-MYP) middle school, 1 IB Middle Years-Diploma Programme (IB-MYP/IB-DP) high school, and a STEM middle-high charter school. 

Additionally, it is important to note that Meade High School not only houses the internationally renowned IB-MYP/IB-DP programmes, but also a Homeland Security Signature Program, the nationally recognized pre-college engineering program known as Project Lead The Way (PLTW), a whole school AVID program, a full suite of AP course offerings, and a robust internship program open to all students.
