• The preferred method of submitting absent notes is through your parent portal account; doctor’s notes can be sent into the office.  Emails are no longer accepted.

     

    The Board of Education Policy JB-RA (D7) follows Maryland Education Law, and states that “Upon return to school from any absence, students shall be required to provide a written note within 3 school days from the parent(s)/guardian(s) or eligible student explaining the cause of absence from school, or the absence shall be recorded as unlawful.” In addition, JB-RA (D7) states, “Absences due to illness in excess of 5 consecutive days shall be verified by a physician.”
