THE WORK OF OUR STRATEGIC PLAN 2018-2023

Belvedere Elementary School

  • When each school began to plan their important work based on AACPS’s 2018-2023 Strategic Plan during the spring of 2018, school teams reflected on their school culture, their community, and the key factors contributing to student achievement.  Each school was then asked to consider which Strategic Plan Indicators would have the greatest positive impact for their students. School leadership teams selected indicators and developed plans to focus and guide their efforts.  Please come with us on our journey as we describe why, what, and how we do our work to serve our students and families of our school.

Belvedere Elementary's School Story

  • Belvedere Elementary is a welcoming elementary school located in Arnold, Maryland on the Broadneck Peninsula. One of five elementary schools feeding into Broadneck High School, Belvedere serves communities along the West College Parkway corridor from Dividing Creek to Jamestown on the Magothy. Belvedere proudly serves an academically, developmentally, socially, and physically diverse student population. As a Green School, we are dedicated to teaching our students to care for one another and the world around them. We partner with community members and organizations to offer our students opportunities to participate in many extracurricular activities which enhance learning and build self-esteem.

Belvedere provides an inclusive environment where we celebrate student growth and focus on what makes our students uniquely #Awesome. We take pride in the fact that, based on our MDS3 Climate Survey, 100% of students feel that their teachers care about them and 92% feel that they belong. While these percentages appear high, our hope is that 100% of our population feels welcomed and supported because All Means All. We are committed to providing all students with opportunities to make connections with one another and to share their stories.
