School Overview

  • AACPS Virtual Academy

The AACPS Virtual Academy (VA) is a virtual-only learning solution for students entering grades 3–12.  AACPS Virtual Academy students receive real-time, synchronous, instruction 4.5–6.0 hours per day from certified AACPS educators and participate in AACPS curriculum and assessments as well as all in-person mandatory Maryland State assessments. Additionally, students have time during the school day for small-group academic coaching and co-curricular clubs. Interested students who reside in Anne Arundel County must complete an annual application to be considered for registration based upon seat availability; and if accepted, they must commit to a full year of enrollment in the Virtual Academy.
