THE WORK OF OUR STRATEGIC PLAN 2018-2023

Quarterfield Elementary School

  • When each school began to plan their important work based on AACPS’s 2018-2023 Strategic Plan during the spring of 2018, school teams reflected on their school culture, their community, and the key factors contributing to student achievement.  Each school was then asked to consider which Strategic Plan Indicators would have the greatest positive impact for their students. School leadership teams selected indicators and developed plans to focus and guide their efforts.  Please come with us on our journey as we describe why, what, and how we do our work to serve our students and families of our school.

Quarterfield Elementary's School Story

  • Quarterfield Elementary in Severn, Maryland, has a long history of serving the community and developing strong relationships with students and their families. Built in 1969, our school has served as the social and educational foundation for generations of families. Quarterfield’s school community is close knit, caring, and diverse, and we continue to grow with the recent addition of several housing developments in our attendance area. We are proud to serve as the hub of our community.

Currently, we serve about 470 students in prekindergarten to grade 5.  We also host an ECI (Early Childhood Intervention) classroom for students with special learning needs.  We are proud of the diversity of our school. A number of our students and their families come from many parts of the world, can speak a variety of languages, and provide our community with opportunities to learn and experience other world cultures.

As a part of the Glen Burnie High School feeder, we take pride in the education we provide our students. Our dedicated staff members work hard each day to support the growth and development of our students. Quarterfield Elementary is a school where all students are welcomed, valued, and supported as we learn and work together toward achieving student success.
