Which Magnet school would students attend?
After the Board of Education reaches a final decision regarding the redistricting of schools, all impacted prospective Magnet students and families will be contacted to discuss available options.

Transportation to and from consolidated bus stops and Magnet schools can be a lengthy ride. The Magnet Office does NOT have any control over bus stops, times, routes, or any other transportation issues. If you, or any of your school families have questions, please contact the Transportation Office directly at the contact details below:

Please be sure to review the requirements for each Magnet Program at the beginning of the Magnet Application Season so you are up to date on any changes. The Magnet Office requires that each applicant meets all program requirements in order to be considered eligible.

Who Can Apply to a Magnet?
Magnet Programs are available ONLY to students who have at least 1 legal guardian residing in Anne Arundel County. Verification of residency is required.
IB Middle School: Current Grade 5 and 6 students can apply
Apex Arts Middle School: Current Grade 5 and 6 students can apply
STEM Middle School: Current Grade 5 students can apply
IB High School: Current Grade 8 and 10 students can apply
Apex Arts High School: Current Grade 8 and 9 students can apply
STEM/BMAH High School: Current Grade 8 students can apply
